Bugatti Veyron, which holds the title of 'World's Fastest Car', has now been introduced in the Indian auto market. The car was officially launched in 2010 and since then, it is also known as the world's costliest car. The car is only launched in the petrol variant throughout the world, which is packed with an impressive 16 cylinder, eight litre engine having a brilliant displacement of 7993 cc. With such powered-packed engine, excellent output of 1001 bhp at 6000 rpm can be churned and maximum torque of 1250 Nm at a fairly low 2200-5500 rpm can be generated. The engine incorporated within the Veyron is far better than the other super cars of the same segment.
To assist this powerful engine, a special seven speed DSG gearbox is incorporated within the car to increase its overall acceleration as well as top speed. Owing to this, the Bugatti Veyron has the ability to smoothly accelerate from 0-100 kmph within a surprisingly short span of 2.5 seconds and thereafter, attaining an impressive speed of 407 kmph. Although the car is packed with an efficient engine, it lags in terms of fuel efficiency. Bugatti Veyron delivers a fuel economy of around 2.4 kmpl in the city, whereas it runs 6.8 kmpl on the highways. In a combined statement, the car delivers a fuel economy of 4.1 kmpl, which is quite accepted as it is not designed to perform as a fuel efficient car.
